Manchester United continue to waste points

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw at Southampton at the opening of the fourth stage of the Premier League on Saturday, making it only their second point in the last three games.
Norwegian coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continued to waste points at the start of the 2019-2020 season, adding a 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton in the second round, and losing in the third round to Crystal Palace 1-2, after winning Quartet clean on Chelsea at first.

The draw came at the "St Mary Stadium" of Southampton, although United managed to advance in the tenth minute with a goal for the new Welsh player Daniel James with a powerful shot from within the region (10).

The 21-year-old moved from Swansea City to three goals in four Premier League games.

But Southampton leveled the score early in the second half, with a header from Danish defender Yannick Westergaard (55), his first since joining the club last summer.

The host managed to maintain the positive result despite the numerical shortage suffered in the last quarter of an hour, after the expulsion of his England-Austrian player, Kevin Dansu, in the 73rd minute for receiving the second yellow card.

The "Red Devils" intensified their pressure in the last few minutes trying to threaten Southampton goal with long-range shots, including for the substitute Mason Greenwood (88) saved by a brilliant goalkeeper Angus Gan, followed by veteran Ashley Young with a bypass close to the left post (89).
